Si ya tienen un cocinita de juguete en casa, les propongo que la conviertan en una cocinita real. El primer elemento que podríamos agregar a la cocina es un dispenser con agua y un vaso. Con dispensar me refiero a una fuente de agua a la que el niño/a pueda acceder y manipular por sí solo/a.

Teniendo esto ya preparado, si el niño/la niña tiene sed, puede recurrir a su cocina y satisfacer su necesidad, sin ayuda del adulto. También es aconsejable agregar elementos reales: platos, cubiertos aptos para niños/niñas, exprimidor, bowls, servilletas y tabla de cortar. Cerca de la cocina, es recomendable ubicar el kit de limpieza tamaño niño/niña para que pueda acceder con total libertad. Con la incorporación de estos elementos estamos creando oportunidades de aprendizaje para nuestros niños/niñas.

Ideally, the kitchenette should be located in the adults kitchen. If this is not possible, the kitchenette can go in the playroom.

As we have already discussed in the previous chapter, I propose that you turn the toy kitchen into a real kitchen.

Add real elements: a source of water that the child can get by itself when he/she is thirsty. It is also advisable to add real items: plates, cutlery suitable for children, juicer, bowls, napkins, cutting board. Near the kitchen, it is recommended to place the cleaning kit for children so they can access to it freely.

Here you can carry out other activities that will enhance the emotional development of your children.

The library can be created with a basket containing books or you can choose to assemble a piece of furniture. 

It is a library that is divided into two: one goes against the wall and at the height of the adult. This is going to be the main library that contains all the books. On the floor and at the height of the child, a smaller library will be placed and it will  contain the books that will be used that day or week.
